Painted Cherries

Something I really do love is getting product and pattern requests. I want to use most of them, and often intend to, but unfortunately, I am very prone to overcommitment and only end up following through on a few. Painted Cherries was, thankfully, a pattern request I was able to follow through on, which I am so glad about. The request for a cherry print came from wholesale customers actually. At one trade show, there were several shop owners from Traverse City, Michigan, who made the request because the city hosts a cherry festival every summer. Traverse City was where I had my favorite family vacations when I was growing up, so the idea really stuck in my head. I drew this design originally just for Kindle Cases, but it was soon obvious that it would need to go on all of my products, and as soon as it was available across my whole line, those Traverse City shops wasted no time ordering a whole assortment!
