Mushroom Meadows, the twin of Celestial Garden, caused me to have quite conflicted feelings when I first drew her. I had been getting requests for a mushroom print for a long while by the time I sat down to design it. The original print I made had a beige background, but once it was done, I experimented with black as well. Both looked so cute to me, with the florals really popping on the black background, the mushrooms highlighted more with the beige. Feeling torn, I asked my team and my Instagram followers which they liked better. The overwhelming answer was "both", so not helpful!! But actually, both is what I went for in the end. I turned the black background version of Mushroom Meadows into Celestial Garden by adding moons and starts, and kept the original drawing with a beige background to make Mushroom Meadows. I'm glad I chose the "both" option here so both of the twins could have their chance to live on products, since they really are just each so cute in their own way!
