Waterfall Floral's inception is near and dear to my heart. I went on a truly magical trip to Iceland in January of 2023 with my long-time best friends. On the trip, they lamented that I didn't have any designs in their favorite color: blue, specifically, gatorade blue. After a little bit of wearing down, I agreed this was a major oversight. I couldn't have my best friends lovingly invested in my art and not have a pattern featuring their favorite blue. As soon as I got home from the trip, I set out to create a gatorade-blue pattern, which turned out to be incredibly easy considering the color palette the trip had given me. If you've been to Iceland, you know it has a strikingly unique landscape. There's very limited trees, cloudless skies, giant waterfalls, and lots of stark black volanic rock covered in bright olive green moss. The color palette for my new print was practically handed to me wrapped in a bow after looking out at it through the car window all week. The design came together effortlessly, and as soon as it was done, I knew it was going to become a staple for my brand. The name Waterfall Floral is, of course, a nod to one of Iceland's the most iconic features: its wealth of massive waterfalls. Don't worry, I made sure my pals have plenty of Waterfall Floral goods to decorate their lives with, and if this design is your favorite, now you know you have Erin & Lexi to thank for that!
