Countryside Blooms

I feel like no one would ever guess, but this design was inspired by bridesmaid dresses! I saw a TikTok of a group of bridesmaids that all had different colored, jewel-toned dresses which looked absolutely stunning together. I immediately grabbed my iPad and started drawing flowers in every dress color. The style of this print was really different for me, but I had been wanting to shake it up for a while from my usual style. When I first started drawing in this experimental style, I wasn't completely sold, but it grew on me throughout the process. When I first posted Countryside Blooms on Instagram in January 2023, it was received with a lot of enthusiasm by my followers and it made me think that this new look was a good way forward. From there, I made Primrose Petals, Waterfall Floral, Lilac Floral, and Strawberry Patch all with this watercolor-esque style. In that way, I feel like Countryside marked a whole new era for EBD, and I'm so grateful to it for that!
