Pressed Floral

Pressed Floral print that began as a simple doodle on my iPad and has maintained its status as a best-seller longer than any other pattern. I hate to say it, but this design has kinda been a headache over the years. It turns out matching an ivory background color across different materials on different products (paper, acetate, mushroom leather, cotton, etc), has proven to be extremely difficult. You'd think that an off-white color would be pretty simple to achieve but its actually the hardest color to get right. I think it has been totally worth it, because a simple white background would not give this pattern the same effect at all. There's something about ivory and black that is so timeless and elegant, and think that's why this pattern has lived on for so long. I remember drawing it in 2022 and seeing a huge amount of positive feedback about it from Instagram story-watchers. I really didn't expect it to become a staple EBD print at the time, and especially not my longest-running best-seller. Perhaps I'll take on re-designing this one at some point, but it's hard to mess with a pattern that has been in my top 5 for 6 years now!
