My Small Business was Featured on Live with Kelly & Mark!!

On Thursday, October 2nd, my small business was featured on Live with Kelly & Mark and it was SO exciting. Unfortunately, I had been battling sickness for the previous two weeks, spending the weekend before the segment in the hospital, so unfortunately I was not as hands on as I would have liked to have been!

I am so grateful to my team for how smoothly this experience went! From the prep to the actual day-of, everything ran so smoothly and I am so happy to have such a wonderful team.

Even though I still wasn’t feeling the best, I was READY to have some joy buzzing throughout the office! You could feel everyone’s excitement and all of that prep work paid off. Big time.

The Kelly & Mark team prepared us well, we knew this wasn’t going to be just a quick shout out on air. We needed to expect four different waves of traffic to a microsite they set up for us. We needed to be ready to fulfill orders with just the limited items we sent to them to sell, and at a high volume.

When we were featured on The Today Show, it was wonderful, but there was no live shopping element. This time, viewers could scan the screen and they would be sent right to the microsite, able to buy our products right there!

Our warehouse was pretty much Kelly & Mark-ified. We had moved all of the product needed up to the front, so everything was right by the packing tables. Multiple USPS pickups were scheduled, extra boxes were ordered and built. It felt like prepping for a one-day holiday season that was going to be streamed across the United States.

Outside of pulling products – pouches, coloring books, desk mats – we also went full steam ahead on marketing. We posted a TikTok sneak peek, sent out an email to our list, and even created custom fliers to be put in each order.

The segment aired around 9:38 a.m. and from there we watched site visitors climb! From 71 visitors into the 700s, orders started rolling in. It was so much fun to watch as a team, seeing the statistics rise on both the microsite and our personal site!

Out of all offered products, coloring books by far sold the best. “All Booked Up” got a close-up view on camera! We sold out of hardcover notebooks and even had to restock the Rosewood Blooms cosmetic pouches! What really surprised us though, was “Wallflowers” being the best seller at first, totally unexpected! I had hoped desk mats would do better, but because they were laying under the other products, they didn’t get as much traction.

Within the first hour we had made around $8K in revenue, with over 150 orders! The other time zones followed each hour, Pacific time bringing another spike. The live site ended up being available for a whole week, and we continued to have orders flow in!

All orders from the day the segment went live got sent out in the mail that afternoon, which I am SO happy about! Everything went so well, and I think we had a great spot in the show! The shopping segment aired right after Glen Powell’s interview, and we were the last business on the segment right before commercial break so we were fresh on viewers' minds!

This experience showed me how exciting it is when big opportunities are offered, and how important all of the prep work is! It wasn’t just amazing, but it also brought us some measurable growth!

I am so grateful to my team and this opportunity, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store! ❤️
